In the first quarter of 2024, Google Maps maintained its strong presence among iOS users in France, with downloads fluctuating around 70K to 90K, peaking at 88K in late February. Weekly active users remained consistently high, averaging around 7.6M throughout the quarter.
Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a significant spike in downloads during the third week of January, reaching over 100K. However, this trend did not maintain, with downloads hovering between 33K and 50K thereafter. Weekly active users experienced a high point of 4.3M in late January, generally staying above 3.5M each week.
Google Earth experienced modest download numbers, ranging from 13K to 17K, and saw a slight increase in weekly active users towards the end of the quarter, reaching over 100K.
Citymapper: All Live Transit demonstrated relatively stable revenue throughout the quarter, with a notable peak of $462 in early February. Downloads varied between 8K and 14K, while weekly active users saw a peak of 301K in late February.
Lastly, Mappy - GPS, trafic & prix showed the lowest download numbers among the top apps, with weekly figures ranging from 3.6K to 6.8K. Weekly active users peaked at 25K in late January but did not show significant variation throughout the quarter.
